what AC/DC Charger/Cycler, mine blew up
guys, I fly NiCads and NiMH in my 50 Glow helis and smaller Glow Planes, NiCads, NiMH are what I know and I'm happy with them, my Charger/Cycler went bad, so I need a new one, I would like one that will charge and discharge everything, NiCads, NiMH 123, FE,,, 123's are in my TX and in time I will go to 123's in my RX,,

I haven't been up on Chargers and Cyclers for a long time now, didn't need to, now mine has gone bad,

so I don't need a LiPo Charger/Balancer , but I have been looking at the HiTech X1 (see link), it will charge anything and NoBS recommends it as an AC/DC Charger/Cycler, any comments about it, or, is there a better AC/DC Charger/Cycler for under $100, I would like $100 to be the cut-off point

thanks guys, your the best !!

For under $100, I like and use the thunder power 610AC/DC charger. Always been reliable, good warranty and service for me. Not the most powerful charger, but gets the job done well for me.Still buyin' and flyin' then crashing and cryin'

I like my LP 6, but I charge large Lipos. Perhaps their new GT 500 is a better fit for this case. (And closer to budget )

I charger for sure, but you will need a power supply, but that is easy to solve.Enjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy.

Wild and crazy question. Whatever you were using must have been doing the job for you.

What was it?

the imax (SkyRc) products look like quality products but with prices like $23, $32, $47 it makes me wonder, but they do have higher priced Chargers/Cycler/Balancer even over $100

This particular charger the Imaxrc X 100 is estimated to cost $99.00. I like this brand of charger. The touch screen is cool and the menu is very easy to navigate. Im not sure how well the x100 works, but if its anything like the 400 twin i have, it should be fine.Rush 750, cc160hv, vbar silverline

I know of many happy guys with this charger from a retailer with over 23 brick and mortar hobby shops in CA.

I believe it meets every request you made and is forward ready for when you need to charge lipos, as well.

Question:

iCharger 106B+ What is the pin spacing on the balance connectors ?

Most US batteries have the 0.100" spacing and I have a wad of useless 2 mm spacing balance connectors.

i got mine used so im not sure how old it is but i know its well used and the touch screen is flawless thus far. i did have a incident where my twin 400 would not charge a 4.8 v nmhd receiver pack. Wouldnt even recognize it but my power lab cell pro had no problem recognizing it. I believe the power lab is the better charger and the x100 is second because it looks so cool with the touch screen and it is easy to use.Rush 750, cc160hv, vbar silverline

Has anyone tried the "Ac/Dc multi chemistry balancing charger" by common sense R/C? It's under $100 and doesn't need a power supply.

Tod74,, I can't say about the Ace capability or quality, but Ace has made some neat stuff in the passed, but today many companies are subbing out to different brands, Horizon is selling the same Cycler as Ace is under a different name, see my links
