Anybody use different plugs in winter versus summer?

E820, Raptor G4N, X50F/E, E620, Forza 450, and some planks.

In the winter I found I had trouble starting a YS91srx with an os#8. The temperature was about -5 celsius. Tried an enya#3 and it started fine. Now in the summer the os#8 works fine. So yes, to answer your question.

OS has a #6,7,8,9 and Enya has #3,4,5,6. You can stick to one brand if you choose. YES is the answer.

So hotter plug in the winter, cooler plug in the summer?

Yeah. http://www.osengines.com/glowplugs/index.html

But the brand numbering is obscure. I remember seeing an OS #9 recently ?

If you hear a cracking noise in 100F, try a colder plug. If it won't crank or idle in winter try a hotter plug. Depends on engine, fuel, and pilot though.

A #9 would be nice, but it seems to be a unicorn. I ordered a #10, will see what that does.

Yeah. Not at Tower or OS USA. But if you google OS #9 glow plug you will get something. I don't know if this is non-USA marketing or an ancient plug. Forget about it. Tower has everything USA.

Os7 works well in the winter here in the UK. Os8 for summer.

60% of the time, it works every time!
