Hi Ron,
very nice job on your 500!!

just remember that the devil is in the details and they will make the heli stand out from all the rest.

thanks for sharing!

Thanks Guys, the colors will look much better after clear coat and polishing. Meanwhile, I met up with Keyrigger at the Triple Creek fly-in a couple of weeks ago. He pointed out the fuel cap should be down low. It is too late to change that now although I have seen pictures of some 500's with something that resembles that and is silver with a red round something down low. I tried to copy that.

Ron

I didn't crash. I just ran out of airspeed, altitude, and ideas all at the same time!

Ok, after a couple of days of wet sanding and compounding, it is finally done. Took it out today for a photo session. This is the original scheme that I wanted to begin with, just didn't know how it would look as a "C" model. I bought the kit on black Friday last year so, it is only fitting that I wait to fly the finished version on Fri. Oh, yeah! In a couple of the pictures is the NASA VAB in the background.

Thanks Guys. The paint turned out pretty good. It has some rookie flaws in it that I can live with (I hope), if not it is just some wet sanding, paint,.....

Mojave, we miss flying with you as well. Man look at that sky! I think someone else out here is getting the scale bug.

LOL, did you put the scale bug in Randy's ear? I know Marty is out of the game, he's too busy having fun flying UAV's for NASA... Must be nice!! Oh, wait a minute, you must mean Dave. Oh crap, Cheryl is gonna kill him, then she's gonna blame me...

Got a couple of nice photos today. Was a little gusty, hard to concentrate on a hover in the wind with someone walking around with a camera lol.

Looks good Ron. So you guys were flying over at Canaveral (Kars park), on the river huh? Are you able to fly at the middle school yet?

No, I doubt is ever going to happen. Kars is very nice place to fly. Nobody there to screw with you.

Nice flight. Do watch coming down through your rotor wash. You might sink a lot faster than you had planned, lol. See you in a few weeks and I hope to bring my 500 in any state of completion if I get the mechanics installed.
