help with throttle curve ??
Not sure where to put this topic so will start here. Ive been in this hobby for a while now, Have set up everything from jetcat turbine to 450 trex. So just got done setting up a 450 trex DFC with a micro beast. Using a Futaba s-bus going to the Micro beast. The problem is with the throttle curve. I currently have the throttle channel plugged in to Channel 3 on the Futaba RX...and throttle channel is set up on my Radio as Channel 3. Everything else is through the s-bus. I can set a throttle curve that is almost nothing and still doesnt use the curve. It seems its reading off the ATV setting (Have a futaba 9z) and cannot for the life of me figure this out. Im sure its something I completely overlooked. Also have a castle creations ESC. Thanks for any help !

Sounds like something is not setup right in the esc. If you have an extra servo laying around plug it into channel 3 of your receiver and see how it responds to your transmitter. If it responds like it should the problem is with the esc. Are you running gov mode in the esc?Damn that ground is hard! When's the right time to get out of this money sucking hobby?

Hey Brotha...I appreciate the reply ! My esc doesnt have a label on it so not sure about the gov being programmed. I will run out and try the servo first to make sure. Thanks again.

Well I plugged a servo into channel 3 on Rx and no throttle curve. Just the straight linear line that resembles the ATV line. The radio is a 9z Futaba. Is there a way to turn throttle curve on and off ?

Haven't programmed a 9Z (still have one though) in years, but as I recall, you need to select "exponential" curve and it will give you "points" which you will move up or down to create your curve.

Throttle Curve Activation Procedure
In the Model Menu, press the THR
key to get the Throttle Curve
Activation
menu
Never had a chance to play with a 9z. According to the manual the throttle curve definitely has to be activated.
