definatly not new
hello. I am an avid heli nut just like everyone here. although, i'm not new to the hobby as I began my intrest back in '83 with schluter's heli-star. i'm a 65 year old veteran and have logged time in the real hughes 500 model "c". having come out of hobby "retirement" i'm glad to say i'm going to enjoy my second child hood in a more experienced and relaxed context. looking foreward to passing on information and learning from you all as well.

Welcome back Darthtac,
coincidence, I also started in 1983 with a helistar and I'm a 64 year old veteran. My heli time was in a OH-58 Scout in 75-76 and some time in Hueys.

There are a lot of good folks here always willing to help if you need anything.

ahhh....old timers
good to hear from you guys. i'm getting into scale these days. am going to use those talents accumulated over the years in my labours and arts. first project on the table is a hughes 500 "e" from the funkey stables. have acquired a shell at a cheap price, but with some parts missing, {caveat emptor!!!} could use some help locating landing gear legs for the 50 size fuze.
the oh58, that's the bell jet ranger 206 B I believe, in mill configuration. never got to fly one, understand it's a sweet ride.
have access to terminal only once a week, so, when I can i'll be on line when girlfriend permits.

i don't believe the coincidnece
hey artimus, saw your gallery, { like the "cheeky" beginning} looks like we have a lot in common. I myself have put in way too many years in the auto body industry. guess that's where the scale initiave comes from.

acquired a trex 450 pro in parts, in a box. looks interesting enough to shelve other projects and dive into. friend passed away a little while ago and left heli part of estate to me. looks like a long couple of evenings doing inventory.
on the fly, (pardon pun) looking into multi rotor for said trex pro. is it feasible? if so, will I encounter a phasing issue with the rotor timing? any input appreciated.
