OS 105 in the 600 class
So I found out there is a conversion kit to put the os105 hzr into the 600 nitro frame. Anyone heard of this or done it?
Rc Japan has it and some good prices also. Just also purchased a brand new 105 hzr for 376. Not bad

I would think
you would run into gearing problems and or clutch not beefy enough..it seems kinda silly to put that many ponies in a 600; the OS55 puts out plenty of power Imho.
I do a great decending funnel!

This is like the gaining nx4 with the 50 or 55 conversion. I'm sure just silly power. It wouldn't be something mandatory for me to buy but it would be cool for a project.HeliDirect Field Rep, Synergy N7 w/ OS 105, Torq Servos, Cyclone/ Rail blades

Audacity models pantera P6 can take a .91/105. They handle it well with their own conversion kit

Audacity Pantera was designed for large nitro motors be it a Quattro head, optional motor mounts, and beefed up bearings/drivetrain. I'm not so sure about the other brands.

I put a Ys 90 in a Trex 600,it had far to much power due to the standard gearing.
It couldn't hold the tail straight with 14 degrees of pitch on a climb out. It was a lot of fun but the 50 size fuel tank didn't last long. I think it was about 3.00 - 4.00 mins. I had to run the engine rich to lose a bit of power and to help with cooling due to the little fan.
I ran it with standard clutch and clutch bell.
But I don't think a 105 would last 5 mins,

I think the older OS60 & OS70 size motors would be a better option if you wanted more power in a 50 size model, but you would need to mod it to fit as I did.

i have 2 of these kits
http://www.infinity-hobby.com/produ...roducts_id=2906
you can do custom gearing and mounts for OS or YS 91's
i run 620's blades 23t pinion gear 91HZ motors i run it a little on the rich side to keep it cool with the smaller fan
i really like this setup
i got over 100 flights without any issues i would think 105 would be an overkill but then aging the 91's was an overkill when i did it

In the near future there will be one that you can install a 91-1.20 in a Goblin 570
