Ben... That's funny and I'm very sorry. It was a Hobbico model and I will correct my mistake.

I had a fairly clear memory that it was a Hobbico offering but mine has an E-___ sticker on it. I just ran out to the shop and re-read that sticker and it says "Powered by E-___" I probably should have put a RimFire on it. That would have avoided confusion.

I should mention my Yard Stick has a Futaba R6303SB receiver in it. It's a 3-18 channel, serial bus, receiver and I'm using exactly 3 channels and none of SB capabilities! It's an enormously capable receiver and I'm using none of it.

Don't laugh, I'm using my 18MZ to fly one of these. Indoor slow flyer with a brushed motor. Futaba 6004FF RX.

This video probably more appropriate for this forum than a Yard Stick. I've been trying to get smarter on extending my flight times. Setting up this little 450 has been enjoyable and educational. It has involved quite a few steps over several weeks. By using a 450, as apposed to a larger heli, I was able to buy and test more components.

A few of the most obvious steps:

-- Install new firmware in 18MZ. Now compatible with Castle Creations Telemetry Link. Thank you Futaba for that no-cost upgrade.
-- Buy and get smart on CC Telemetry Link. Thank you Castle Creations. Nice start but I'm hoping firmware updates will fix a few bugs.
-- Buy and test multiple Scorpion motors. I now own 2221-6,8,10,12 motors.
-- Buy and test multiple pinions. I now own 11-17T.
-- Install and setup Firmware version 2.0 on Futaba CGY-750. It's like a new piece of hardware in this little heli. Did I mention this was also no-cost? Thank you again.
-- Move Futaba R3003SB HV SBUS-2 receiver to be more easily accessible. Installation and programming of CC Telemetry Link requires access to SBUS-2 port on RX.
-- Get smart on Castle Creations governor modes.

All good fun and great modeling.

Back in-the-day when I had a few Micros I would use a small male-to-male type extension for access to a port on my RX.'
I also remember running a Y-harness to both my CC10 esc and AR RX' so that I could just drop-down the harness' female-port to do esc tuning (with CC-link).

This way I could keep the esc and RX.' where I originally placed them.
