I've been searching for dimensions for the 766, but can't find them. How does it compare to other 700s or 800s?

Well its just as big as my Align 800 pro when I sit them next to each other. And mine is a 766 not a 806. Main shafts lined up, their the same height, tails the same length. the Align canopy is a touch wider and longer. It is a big helicopter. Sorry my camera sucks...

I can take a picture for you tomorrow next to an N7. It is big, but it doesn't look bulky, I think the canopy helps this.

Team Synergy, Team FBL Rotors-------if its not broke...it will be!

Thanks for the picture. I'm wanting a heli that is easy to see when flying . Seems I always end up too far out or too high and orientation becomes a problem. In that pic it doesn't look any bigger than the trex 800. I have a trex 700 and am looking for something bigger.Any ideas?

Humm, I have the same problem seeing, but the 766 might help because of the side panels. It really has a great air presence. It is a terrific design. Plus there will be a boom wrap you can add I'd say that has to help orientation.

Perhaps the issue is not the size of the heli but the techniques
- what are you looking for as a visual reference?
- maneuvers to keep everything within a box you can see comfortably
- knowing at all times where the model is in reference to ground and your location?
- most importantly, vision... "You can't fly if you can't see"

My vision is -4.25 and -6.25, Not the best but I wear contacts. I can do a 6-7 minute flight routing with full pirouetting routine while carrying on a conversion flying a Goblin 500 1/2 miles out & up to 300'' (all within a 300' x 300' box). It's not easy nor hard but something you work on. There are many factors that are obvious and not so. Find the problem and address it.

If you think about it, you are at the end of the spectrum for the bigger class machines:
- Trex 800
- Synergy 766
- Logo 800 xxtreme

They vary in size just a bit. Can you tell a few inches wider and taller 100' away?

Big heli's can be docile & agile but also dangerous. Once you develop complete control, you will gain the confidence to bring it in closer. I would suggest around 50' ...so when things go south, you have time to react and out of harms way.

If you need more help ... Feel free to reach out with a PM.

When I got back into the hobby, I have a lot of problems with orientation I did not want to admit it my last eye check up was over 10 years ago. So I went WOW what a change my flying improved about 600% even the guys at the field asked whats up. Now I will get my eyes check every year. Its a shame we all get old.
