Cats out of the bag...
Just saw an interview on Faux about the suspected drone incident in London...

The man (I think he was speaking for the FAA) said we should outright Ban ALL drones...

So thats their intent? outright banning?...we are so screwed, cause it wont stop at drones, it will be helis and planes lumped in too.

I dont see a lot of helis making the news interfering with air traffic its just as drones..,.even if they do somehow ban all rc aircraft I will still fly in defiance of the laws....just because something illegal doesnt stop people from doing it.....Its not illegal till your caught.Fly Hard......Team Viagra

This on MSN:
• Criminalize drone flights that interfere with occupied aircraft, with penalties up to life in prison for causing serious injury or death, under an amendment from Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I. The approval came two days after a British Airways pilot reported colliding with a drone while approaching Heathrow airport and then landing safely.

bad stuff right there....cause the FAA has already defined what a drone is...granted the media defines a drone as a multicopter...but the FAA sees any RC model that can be operated wirelessly from a distance or autonomously as a "drone".

So any activity that can be seen as a threat to commercial aircraft or personal property, would then mean that ANYBODY flying anything can be constituted as a threat.

And the De-Evolution of the Homo Sapien continues at full speed.

Awesome.

Why can't Darwinism get a stronghold and rid ourselves of THE STUPID that is plaguing our Planet?

The actual proposal cited seems only to punish the dangerously stupid, and there could and should be no distinction between multis and helis.

I certainly prefer penalties for dangerous behavior, rather than restrictions because of possible dangerous behavior.
oops, bounced it!
