2.4 Rx antenna question
Hi all,

I've got a Rx here that has about a 1/4" that's been ground or cut off one of the antenna. I tried to remove the outer sheath to make the exposed section the same as the second antenna but made a mess of it.

I called my mate at a local hobby shop and he said he was sent some longer versions by the importer by accident and that I can have one of them if I wanted.

Can anyone tell me if they have used the longer antenna with success and also if I replace the damaged antenna should I replace both so they are the same length.

I understand that it's the exposed end that does all of the work but still thought it was worth getting some advise about the topic.

Mick.

Very interesting point.

We did that with r617 and r6014HS fasst with no problem at all, using internal antennas from broken wifi routers.

To cut the little cable, roll on a table sliding a cutting tool softly, then pull out the jacket.

Some range test in the field without problem and ready to Fly.
