Hi all. I have REALLY enjoyed flying my 230s but crashed it for the first time today. Not a big crash at all and in soft ground. Bent the tail a little but just bent it back. Went to power it up again but the receiver is not powering up. Light doesn't come on. Nothing. Anyone experience this? Could it really be broke? I figure I am looking at purchasing another rx but finding it difficult to believe.

Did he crash? Dang, I missed it!

You may have had the ESC fail, as the BEC circuit in the ESC supplies the power to the receiver.

If you still under power when you crashed, it is possible that an amperage spike took out the ESC.

Esc
Thanks. The light comes on on the Esc when I power up. But I will see if it is putting out voltage.

I am not too familiar with the receiver on the 230, but I have always made it a policy to send the receiver in for a checkup after a crash. In the case of the 230, probably just as easy to replace it.

thanks jim
If it was a bigger heli I would do the same. But being a 230 I'm not too worried. I tested the esc and the voltage coming out of it is good. So it must be the receiver. I am going to order another and will let you know.

receiver
I got my new receiver it but like a bonehead I had disconnected the power and servo leads from my 230 a week ago and didn't mark which ones went where. Could one of you guys send me a picture of your receiver showing specifically the esc power leads plugged in? or just tell me I guess. I plugged stuff up the way I thought it should be but I am still not getting power to the receiver. so just need to double check.

Did he crash? Dang, I missed it!
