Bavarian Demon 3SX would get my vote. 2 servos per head require a swash with 4 outer balls. Who's tandem are you using?

Gyro?
I custom made a tandem by mounting two X-cel 50s to a common boom.
The rear mainshaft is driven by a torque tube. I am using a Futaba 9Z
transmitter and receiver. I had no problems acheiving the mixes I wanted.
Previously I had a Hirobo KV-107 Mk 2 so I am familiar with the correct
mixes. I had heard about the Bavarian Demon before by mouth but wanted more
info. Do you run one of them on a tandem?

Using one in my scratch built now. See attached pic showing the servo to swash arrangement. Two servos per head, also requiring a swash with (4) outer balls, two per side. I added a ring to a 120 degree swash to achieve this.

I have been flying Tandem helicopters since 1985.Mostly Hirobo's of each generation, and now I have added a Vario Tandem to the group.

I have used rate gyros, Hirobo mixers/gyros, Helitronic mixers and Skookum 360 and 720BE systems.

The Bavarian Demon 3SX puts them all to shame. My Vario CH47 Chinook with the 3SX flies like a very good pod and boom sports helicopter. I have flown this tandem in winds that many R/C airplane and heli pilots would not fly in.

It requires a unique 2 servo control to each head (4 servos total in the helicopter), Adjust your heli to work like this, get the Bavarian Demon 3SX and fly your helicopter without concerns regarding flight stabilization and proper flight control.

Regards,

Sandy

Awesome, guys. Great to see that the tandem trend is moving on over there too.
We just had an awesome ROTOR Live show with ours and Vario's tandems, all together 4-5 machines, up to 2.3m body length, 2 times 2.2m rotor.
(Sorry for the metrics *LOL*)

These beauties are scratch built by the Heli-Fischers from Germany.
