Thanks Heli-Splatter - Yes It was in a bit of a state when I bought it but it was all there except for one plastic washer/spacer which I managed to make quite easily and it works well.

I do like a challenge and this one was definitely worth it. It all turns over smoothly now - including the original engine which was totally gummed up.

As for flying it, yes that is definitely on the cards, that's what it was made for and it would be nice to see another classic old bird back in the air. I've flown fixed pitch Heli's before so I know what to expect. (I've still got an MFA Sport 500 as well, that is collective pitch now though)

Regards

Mark

"You just posted a "whos still flying helicopters"...on a RC helicopters forum website... good one."

Still think that says it best, no offense WC

And yep, 99% helis (long-term rotorhead), 1% glider, big fat 0% quad/drone!

Helicopters rule
I did not even realize some copter pilots have drops flying these unbelievable machenes for drones,I put way to much time and effort to learn how to build, setup and fly to ever stop,I may buy a racing drone for kicks but come on helis are still the coolest hobby that most regular Peolple can can reach for.

Enough said

100% Helicopters

I hate drones.
I hate the concepts of drones.
I hate that drones have caused as much trouble for RC model aircraft pilots / builders as they have and in such a short time.

For 100 years, model aircraft have played a pivotal role in developing a love for aviation that lasts well into adulthood (EG: Burt Rutan).

Now, the drone industry has placed yet another nail in coffin of an eventual leading role for a US return to advanced aviation technology, manned spaceflight or trips to Mars (or the moon for Gods sake).

People are getting pissed off at the wrong groups.
This slow moving disaster is solely the responsibility of the irresponsible drone industry

Will love Helis forever, age has slowed my skills and eye site not so great anymore so have stopped Helis and planks and moved to drones.. Still love that I can get to still fly so all you drone haters think about it when you need to move away from a hobby you love!
