Hello all,

I just purchased a lynx LX0652 sidecut 11t pinion gear for my blade 450 X. The lynx website made it seem pretty clear that it would fit 440 Eflight motor. The pinion gear fits fine and the set screw will lock to the shaft. However the pinion gear has a regular diameter hole at the top where the chaft enters and turns into a smaller diameter hole that will not allow the shaft to go any further.
Does anyone know if this is how the pinion is supposed to fit? And if so should I just used washers between the motor and the motor mount to get my gears to allign verticaly?
This would be helpful for my center of gravity but it seems wrong to have half the pinion gear not on the shaft.

Thanks!

Perhaps it is possible to slide the motor shaft through the top of the outrunner? My question specifically is whether this type of pinion will actually work.
