Really! why am I exempt, any one who follows the guide lines outlined in SEC. 336. SPECIAL RULE FOR MODEL AIRCRAFT.
(a) In General- Notwithstanding any other provision of law relating to the incorporation of unmanned aircraft systems into Federal Aviation Administration plans and policies, including this subtitle, the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration may not promulgate any rule or regulation regarding a model aircraft, or an aircraft being developed as a model aircraft................ (you can look up the rest if you are not sure....

Until there is a time that ONLY A ACT OF CONGRESS can change the law (not the ama or the faa or the sheeple) will there be any real and LEGAL reason to comply.

You can argue, make claims, say anything you please. It does not make the faa/ama justified or legal in there actions.

I am NOT AFRAID of this or any government, especially NOT AFRAID of the government sheeple who so badly need me to be afraid too, so there own fear is justified. Sorry IT WONT HAPPEN.

Sadly enough our club in Dayton is requiring the FAA number to have/maintain membership. Thy want to have the number on record, as if our AMA means nothing.

Simply pathetic.

All other area clubs do not ask, they just simply advice to comply, and just require AMA insr.

===========================================================

The FAA database still searchable to ANYONE, and discloses too much personal info. http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinq...ft_Inquiry.aspx

So much for their (FAA) privacy statement.
http://www.faa.gov./uas/registration/faqs/#priv

This is the biggest load of crap from this exercise in bureaucracy.

But don't worry, it'll get worse...

All right guys, I followed checking my own and it did not come up, I'm happy about that.

For some reason, if you query by popular maker such as Align or DJI you will see some entries corresponding to RC models or off the shelf quads. Not sure how those folks entered detailed info about their models, but obviously we did not, or had too.
Not sure if these models were registered on the wrong database by the owners, if is a plain FAA mistake.

Anyway thanks for checking on my "cry wolf", your posts out me at ease...

On another thread, I noticed that you seemed "proud" to have NEVER been an AMA member.

So, what do you care?

I have been an AMA member for many years. I have not renewed this year in personal protest the the way AMA handled(bungled) the registration and SFRA issues.

I will be forced to renew, if I want to fly at a club field. I would rather pay $75/yr for primary flight insurance.

I am not going to spend a lot of time here trying to straighten you out on this....336 states that no one is to mess with our MODEL AIRCRAFT...now go read the FAA reg again....WE have to register, not our AIRCRAFT.
That IS HOW the FAA got around the law, and that is why they did not ask for all of your aircraft identification.

I've never understood how poorly the Federal government treats "private" information. There can be a vehicle illegally parked on my property and I'm not allowed to know who it belongs to. But, own an aircraft or hold an amateur radio station license and everyone knows who I am and where I am. Look up the N-number 155DR. Then go look up amateur radio station license KC9QJA. You think I'm not a little nervous about home security when I take the airplane somewhere? Pretty easy to know who isn't home when you can search an N-number. I'm sure there are other examples of Federal database lookups that disclose personal info and I think the point is there is no reason to believe the UAS database might not become public some day. There is no reason my N-Number or radio call sign should lead the public to my private front door any more than my UAS registration.

A flying violation is a flying violation. They can, take action against any license. As said before, just comply, it is far cheaper than taking on the FAA and their army of lawyers.
If you dispute a regulation, fight for it's revocation through legal channels before hand, not after you get caught.
If you read EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) magazine, there are hundreds of issues in dispute. FAA is trying to make a level playing field (their success is questionable) for all pilots.
AMA and UAS pilots are now part of that system, the harder you fight, the deeper in the quick sand you sink.
Total malarkey....

Read the US Constitution....especially the 9th and 10th Amendments.

Are you from the US? Do you believe in the US Constitution?

I appreciate your situation. That is why many aircraft are registered to corporations and holding companies to obscure the true ownership of the aircraft.

You have a point, I join you with the FCC Ham license. I would sign a petition to make both private databases on the same lines as how the automobile tag system works. If you really have need to know, you can apply and have the system decide whether or not to provide the information to you.

I am willing to bet the responses on this forum would be more rebellious if this was a gun forum or some other activity that involved more people.

The sad fact is, this is a toy model forum so I don't expect too many to go against the government in this case.

All the folks on the gun forums calling for disobedience and armed resistance or government overthrow are probably on watch lists.

I'm a 2A loving gun-nut, but I don't go to gun forums and whip up a frenzy. Seems like a good way to get some men in suits interviewing me.

That stuff does put our plight in perspective. When you consider liberty and rights in the general sense, scoffing at this FAA registration is small potatoes. Way less is on the line for both sides. It's hardly a game changing issue.
