Hi guys,

I would like to use the 14z with the 18sz using a trainer cord. The regular micro to micro cable does not seem to work (I assume this is the case because they use different voltages?). Which cable do I specifically need to link these 2 models together? Will the futaba 12fg trainer cord work?

Thanks

I think this is the one you need, it has a built in voltages regulator.

P.S. sorry for the spelling or the grammar I am dyslexic!

This is an interesting question. Perhaps Dr.Ben can shed some light on this connection. Someone should look at the trainer output on a scope.

Let us know how it comes out.

Yes I'm not finding any specific info. For the 12fg cord I also don't get specific info about the 18sz or MZ. I am also looking at the Futaba Wireless Trainer System WTR-7. Again it only says that Fasst 7 channel is needed. It would be good to know definitely.

Well my question is whether you can blow up a transmitter by connecting two of different voltages with the straight cord and turning on both ?

Nope you can't. I tried the regular cord between the 14mz and 18sz.
