I decided to get back into heli's. I love the VBar. And now I see they now will work on Mac's. I have a 2012 MBP, Yosemite 10.10.5.

I downloaded the software, but can not for the life of me find where it is! Does anyone have a clue? Thanks, Eugene

They have always worked on MACs
On a MAC, you have to go to system preferences, permissions, then select "allow apps from anywhere".
Then go to apple and install Java Runtime Environment. Not Java, JRE.
Restart the computer and all should be good.

Got it. I can get the VBar control manager. But I get nothing when I power up the Mini. I did buy it from here used. Am I doing something wrong?

Ok, got the correct 5.3.4 installed, as well as drivers. restarted. I changed the COM port to the /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART. Still have RED NO CONNECTION.

I bound the mini with 1 DSMX Satellite to my X9303.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

The mini does not work with the VControl manager. You have to use the 5.3 software. If you are trying to connect to VControl, you need to update the mini to 6.0.

I am using using a Macbook Pro 2012, I7, 1TSSD, 16GBRAM.

I installed the VBar 5.3.4 software. I changed the COM port like instructions said. I've turned the mini on and the Tx before opening software. Even opened software then turned them on. Just not sure what else. I am using a 2 different USB cables with the same results. I didn't get the cable or CD that came with it.

I have never done a VBar before in the past. Always had Brian do it. But I want to try and learn this myself.

The guy I bought the mini from said it has 6.0 on it.

This is going on a Mini Titan E325.

If the Vbar has 6.0 installed and your using 5.3.4 control software on your Mac, it is not going to connect. You'll need to run the recovery software and then install 5.3.x on the mini. If you have the license from the original owner, it should be pretty easy. Anyone else chime in if I'm in the weeds. I know for a fact it works this way on full size Vbar.

I just installed VBar 5.3.4b on my wife new dell with Windows 8. Did the driver update just as in the video.

The USB turns green when I plug it in. But still the Red No Connection.

You have to convert the mini to 5.3. Version 6.0 is only for VControl

Well I figured out I did a recovery, and now I have a green light and the serial number shows up!!!

But the Red "V" is not lit up and I can't get it to bind with my X9303.

So I am assuming I need to convert it back. Still trying to figure that 1 out.

Okay, after carefully reading other posts, I have it all figured out!!

I got it transferred to me. Then requested a new license, then was able to download the new 5.3 Pro for it! Got it bound to the X9303 and some basic settings.

So now to get the heli back together and go from there.

Thanks everyone for all your help! Always good to know there is help here for some of us old farts who are trying to learn how to program these sophisticated machines!!
