I'm running an older black vbar on my logo 600SE with Vcontrol. Unfortunately, one half of one of the exposed antenna tips broke off of the vcontrol RX.

So, I want to replace the RX.

I'm wondering if this requires re-setting up the heli, or if once rebound to the new RX vcontrol will somehow access the programming stored in the vbar unit?

If not, is there some way to save the settings on the vbar to relink it back up with vcontrol?

I looked and don't see any instructions or videos specifically for rebinding an existing model to a new RX.

if it ain't broke, break it.

I recall reading that with a new setup when you bound the receiver, it automatically went into the program mode, but if the Vbar had already been programmed, it just bound and then connected. I am not positive about that, though.

You should be able to bind the new RX, and go through the existing setup to check what you have without having to do a complete new setup. I would check the throttle endpoints to insure everything is still straight with the ESC.

Thanks,

I did get a quick reply from Rainer on the vstabi forums. He confirmed...just plug in the new RX, go to bind, and it will read the settings off of the head unit.

just to be safe, I went to the save/load page on the vcontrol and made a new file of my current settings. So, worst case I was hoping I could at least load that. Wasn't required though.

if it ain't broke, break it.

Sorry I seen this late. Just rebind and go. You do have to setup your switches and such on the radio again if you get a new Control.

Team Synergy, Team FBL Rotors-------if its not broke...it will be!
