AMA events and Reese Airport

Any idea how the AMA is going to host R/C events at their Muncie, IN facility with Reese Airport adjacent to their property on the south side? Wouldn't the new FAA ruling prohibit operations within 5 miles?

The planes don't fly over the AMA. The problem I see is the FAA can shut down the AMA at any time even if the runway becomes inactive. The way I see it if the FAA has so much power that we will all have to take up indoor flying.Synergy Field Rep Rail Blades Field Rep

The problem
no way, no how, no reason
the airport itself [no control tower listed] is the authority that has to be notified of r/c activity

I agree with that. I flew in with my son and a good friend to XFC one year. That is besides the point. It is too close by today's standards. I would like to know what the B4UFLY app states when on AMA field.
