BeastX programmable tail gyro gain VS Transmitter gyro settings"
Hello all,

EDITED: I was able to partially answer my question but any advice would be appreciated and anyone using the beastX System might find this useful!

Wondering if anyknow knows the complete workings of the AR7200BX known as BeastX. I had an issue with tail vibration on my new Blade 450x so i upgraded some tail parts. Now the heli works gr8 for my inverted practice and alleron tic toks. The issue now is fine tunning the gyro. I turned it down to the second setting (stock i believe) anyway i had to turn it down to get it to stop fighting itself.

My question is this. I can't determine if the gyro setting in my transmitter is affecting the helicopter. When I am flying next I will make some adjustments in the air to see if it changes the characteristics. However it feels like it is in a beast X setting not effected by my radio. I have the flight mode in transmitter. I believe the same thing can be done with the gyro setting. Today I was inviterted and did a large sideways rainbow and the tail rotated. So I am in a tough spot where I am almost at the maximum setting of gyro but apparently I need a slightly higher setting. If I change the gyro gain setting in beast X to the first option "transmitter) well I have complete control of the setting from my transmitter?
I can't increase the setting in BeastX because every setting is perfect now ( I had to change a lot of the tail settings to get it to work) and if I increase the gain the tail vibrates hard. If I can increase the gain by a small percentage I believe it will fix my problem.
Most of the beastX information online is simply outdated or wrong so this is a more complicated question than it sounds.

My carbon fiber boom should fix everything else until I get a helicopter I want to piro.

THANKS

Okay so I just flew 2 batteries while at work. The tail is fine for the beginning maneuvers I am doing.

In summary I had to reduce the tail servo throw distance fteq one click (purple). I set the servo throw for my LYNX blades (conservative but perfect). And my beast X gyro setting is set at solid BLUE Which I don't have the manual to determine if that is stock; It was basically the only setting that would work.

During the flights I had my gyros set at 78; however I just did a ground test with the setting at 0% and the gyro was still working. This has led me to believe that the gyro setting and beastX overrides the setting in my transmitter. I am absolutely sure about that. So it would seem that I need to change the gyro setting in beastX to the first setting (Transmitter).

Now that I know this I have basically answered my question myself hopefully someone will find this useful. In the this version of BeastX the gyro setting light (mode) overrides the TX setting Im almost sure of this.

Now I need to do some hovering tests to find the optimal gyro setting in my transmitter after I change the gyro setting in BeastX to the first one; I believe it is called (tx dependant)

It is rather amazing to me how convoluted the system is they should say pilot experience minimal; mechanical skills professional. Anyway I am very happy with this little helicopter. When I get my carbon tail boom maybe it will fly backwards!

I hope this helps anyone

I'm not sure how you can make any settings to the AR7200 without the manual. You really should get the manual. You can down load it and print it out. Would take a lot of the guess work out.

There are 3 settings for the tail 2 in the AR7200 (Dial 3: Tail Dynamic, Parameter D: Tail Heading Lock Gain) and 1 in the (transmitter: Tail Gyro Gain) and you will have to set the Tail Gyro Gain for each flight mode and the hold function.

I too use beastX on my 450. I'm impressed you got as far as you did with out the manual.

I too am just now getting into the precision tuning of my flying. No 3D all scale for me but still IMO a dialed in helicopter is a dialed in helicopter.

Good luck and please keep up with posting your findings.
