What Precision Flying Maneuver Really Impresses You??
What precision maneuver really impresses you? At the moment, I am impressed with flying really tight figure 8s in four orientations... upright forward, upright reverse, inverted forwards, inverted reverse and quickly transitioning from one to another.

The pyro flips are not as interesting to me any more, even though I don't really have them totally mastered.

What impresses you?

I really like seeing smooth transitions in all maneuvers, orientations and reversals. You see a lot of that in Klye Stacy's flights. Super smooth flying gets me more excited than banging the model around...Team XpertUSA

A reversing, skids in, piro tic-toc would be nice, although I don't know if I've ever seen anybody do one.

"How'd he do that"
At the 2009 xfc; Daniel Jetchin (probly misspelled) did the "paint stirrer" while flying from right to left the length of the spectator area about 50 yds...awsome flight on the whole he shoulda won that year.

Try doing a series of consecutive rolls sometime where each is so axial and so perfectly about the tail that it is difficult to tell the model is rolling......

what really impressed me was 2 things I saw CY do,, first, he flew his heli so far a way it was just a tiny dot in the sky, the heli was only about 60, 70ft off the ground but it was just a tiny dot, and he turned it around and flew it back straight as an arrow just skimming over the top of a tree, and of course his heli was doing a good 70 MPH at the time,,

the other thing he did that I thought was just crazy cool, he did these very tight, super fast barrel rolls real low to the ground, when his heli was upside down his blades were just inches from the grass, when he did this his heli was right in front of me and only some 15ft away, it's so crazy how he could do them so prefect at such a high speed,, those barrel rolls may have been simple for him to do, but it was how he took a simple barrel roll and turned it into something so powerful that impressed me

rolling funnel
Cy tried to do the rolling funnel at the xfc in 2004 with flybarred heli's and he could only get two or three rolls in succession; but Kyle Stacy did a nice one at xfc 2011--about eight rolls..it rocked!

I'd have to say the F3N stuff such as the tic toc vertical figure 8.

I like piro hurricanes, as well. Amazing skill.

These are the kind of maneuvers I may never master personally, except on the sim, but this challenge is what keeps me here. If it was easy, I'd quit and find something that wasn't. What a hobby!
