Setting control surface travels
Hi guys

I got a multiplex mentor and I'm trying to understand how to set the control surface travels on a futaba 18sz

Since I'm not using conditions (trainer) this will be done under AFR (rate A, rate B) for the elevator, aileron, and rudder correct?

The manual states the amount of travel in millimeters. How do I translate that into the corresponding rates? Do I have to actually deflect the control surfaces and adjust the rate until the desired milimeters is achieved using a ruler as a measuring tool?

Thanks for any help

Hey Jamovich,...yes deflect the control surface and set the required amount of up and down,on elevator, left, right, rudder,up down aileron.Measure using a ruler.

Here's a cheap flight control gauge, easy to use.
