Oiling brushless tail mini motor
This is a new brushless tail motor, it's making a humming noise.
Not sure if oil will make the noise go away?

This motor

I have triflow oil

Where should I oil it?

It's probably out of balance. Is it vibrating when you hold it in your fingers?60% of the time, it works every time!

It won't hurt to place a tiny drop of oil at the front and back bearing where the shaft is supported.....Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

It's not out of balance, I tested it before using it and spins true.

A drop of each side, will do.

Thanks a lot

One more question, how do you rewind this motor?
I'm asking because wires got loose, can not find the 3 ends, wire is so fragile.
Got this new motor as a replacement but would like to rewind the old one. Old one with less than 5 flights before crashing it and tail stopped working.

I been looking with a magnifier for the loose 3 wire ends in the motor and no success.

I did spin it by hand and power it up grabbing the boom before inserting it on heli body to feel any inbalance.

Maybe high gyro gain?

Haven't had time to oil it or play with settings

Is it humming at any rpm? Does the hum get louder the higher the rpm?

At the end of the day it's a very tiny cheap motor, personally ide buy another one or a better quality one.

Do it for the experience.

To be honest, I would like to learn how to rewind motors, a challenge, and cheaper.

Let me look at those links and absorb as much as I can.

I really need to get a better motor, just don't know which to get.

And yes, this heli has a lot of power and it seems that the humming is at higher RPMs

Thanks a lot!
