Results of my carbon fiber blade hang test( 690-700mm size)
Put all blades on a 4mm fly bar at the same time.
They all have 5mm holes in the root.
All hung nice & even with each other except the Zeal.
The Zeal was a wider cord 62mm all the rest were 60mm.
All leading edges close to the root were even with each other.
At the leading edge tips all were even with each other except the
Zeal, they were 1/4" past the rest.
Blades used in the test were:
Align 3G 690mm
Align 690 D
Edge 693 fly bar less
Zeal 700
Wondering if the Zeal blades would be safe to use on my
Miniature Aircraft Spectra-G Gasser 260 with fly bar .
The last set I put on was an Edge 713 fly bar less (new).
Took off & went up about 10 ft.,Heli went into wild gyrations
managed to get it down but not before it tipped over and broke
the blades...got it ready to go now.
That is the first time I ever experienced anything like this,
but it is also the first time I put fly bar less blades on a
fly bar heli.

Did it spin up smootly? When diid it start its gyrations ?. If its the baldes I think you would see it at the spin up of the blades. Maybe a dampener in the head isnt right for the blades.
If the blades balance out good they should be fine.

I seriously doubt it was the blades that caused those gyrations.

The zeal blades with their leading c/g will be less stable than any FBL blade with a neutral c/g.

Thanks fellows for the replies.
If you guys figure the blades were most likely not the problem,
The blade dampeners got me thinking....I upgraded a lot of my
Miniature head dampeners from the 2 O-ring to the solid one
piece that has a small recess moulded on the outer end that a
washer sits in, next to that is a circle clip goes in a groove
in the blade grip shaft then 2 thin washers next to the first
bearing in the blade grip......and I have smacked up a lot of
these heads over the years and bent washers ,circle clips,
shafts, bearings.
I,am wondering if I didn,t get circle clip down in the groove
properly and it popped out at high speed .....This could have
caused my imbalance.
