RPM Data with external Gov I learned something
I want to report what I found when tinkering with my Vcontrol and Hobbywing 160HV V4 ESC.

You may have found out already that you cannot set gear ratios or pole count settings for the rpm display on the Vcontrol to be accurate when you have your Vcontrol set to External Governor. This means that if you have a RPM Sensor and want to see that data on your log reports while using an external governor, your data will be inaccurate.

UNLESS...

What you need to do to make the RPM data accurate, is to first set your Vcontrol to Vbar Gov, then go into Gov Setup and Set your Poles (divided by 2 (for a 10 pole motor, enter 5)) in the Sensor Config box. Then Set your gear ratio. The other parameters are irrelevant if using an external gov.
Then change your Gov Mode back to External Governor. NOw your RPM Data will be accurate.

I may be slow here and everyone already knows this, but I found it useful.
