I generally don't have any problems with orangerx satellites.. They work quite well.
I recently bought six orangerx r110x satellites and cant get any of them to work. No lights come up and will not go into binding stage. These are suppose to be compatible with DSM2/DSMX receivers.

I have tried binding to multiple receivers Orange and spectrum brand. Both DSMX & DSM2 and no luck.

Is anyone having problem with these?

Thanks !

With which receivers are you using these as satellites?

Remember that if the main RX is DSM2 then the sat ALSO has to be a DSM2 sat. And if the main RX is DSMx, the sat must ALSO be a DSMx sat. No mixing of types is allowed.

I'm aware of that. But this satellite is advertise to work both DSMX & DSM2. Besides I tried using both receiver types DSMX & DSM2 different brands with no luck.

Appreciate your feedback!

To me, it is a DSMx satellite, and must be teamed up with a DSMx main receiver (if you're using a main receiver). I don't believe you can connect it to a DSM2 receiver and expect it to work. The satellite is DSM2 compatible, as are ALL DSMx receivers.

As such, with a DSMx transmitter, it will bind and operate in DSMx mode, as would the main receiver.

If your transmitter happens to be a DSM2 transmitter, the receiver AND satellite would work with it, but would operate in DSM2 mode only.

Remember that ALL DSM2 transmitters work equally well with DSMx receivers. The RX's work in DSM2 mode, not DSMx.

All DSMx transmitters work equally well with DSM2 receivers, but again, the RXs only work in DSM2 mode.

So if you're going to use it with a main receiver, that receiver has to be DSMx to match the satellite.

OK! you are not reading my post correctly.
I understand fully difference between DSM2/DSMX and how they need to be match with correct receiver.. Been using Spektrum since it was 1st introduced.

My initial question is about the orangerx r110x satellite which is advertise as being compatible with DSM2 & DSMX. The batch I bought does not even light up or goes into a binding mode. Regardless if you match with DSM2 or DSMX receiver..It does not work.

Researching the forums it seems these first batches were not made correctly. A lot of folks are having the same problem I'm having. But the international Hobbyking warehouse still selling them. There is a problem , since the USA warehouse pull them out of stock.

I sent them all back for a full refund. My $14 dollar shipping fee will be lost. But this is typical when you buy from hobbyking international warehouse.

Now I'm not knocking all orange receivers, since I have never had a problem before.

Ok...sounds broken. Maybe the lesson here is don't buy V.0 HK stuff. I have an older 9-channel orange Rx with satellites that works great.

What frame rate are you using ? I assume you tried both , I think they need 22ms ... but I have also read that many of these don't work

Isn't that ironic.

For all the times we get away with something, not a peep. Than when there's a hitch .. We're none too happy.

If you are very familiar with setup on the item, than obviously it's DOA. Guess they don't clone them like they use too! LOL

To be fair .... You did save enough before this debacle to still come out a winner. Once the funds are back, it's not so much as a refund .... More like a "Rebate".
