rotortech 620 blades w/os50hyper?
Just wondering what your opinions would be on using rotortech 620 blades with my hyper 50 engine? I am putting together a century n640 so clearance will not be an issue. Just little concerned if the blades would be too much for the 50 size hyper engine.
thanks
jeff

They are better suited for a .55- .60. The hyper .50 will bog with the bigger blades easier. 600 mm are great for the hyper .50 running 30% nitro..Fly Hard......Team Viagra

Is the 620mm FB or FBL? The weight makes a difference. The .50 is not as powerful but with the right setup and collective management, you might be able to get away with it.

I was able to get away with 625mm FB on my Trex 600N with .50 OS hyper with Align pipe. I was doing advance 3D

- keep your HS @ 75% of full throttle to be in a good power band
- +/- 12 degrees collective with 6 degrees on cyclic
- smooth on the collective and inputs
- use 30% cool power
- if you know how to load and unload the disc, you can achieve good pop and response

* just wanted to mention I've customized my 600N

- Mikado Logo 500 main blade grips & SX FBL rotor head
- plastic tail blade grips
- belt driven
- no horizontal fin
- 1pc gorilla skid from MSH Protos v2
- no gov or regulator
- straight life 6.6v to the DS620M x 5
- I was able to achieve a lighter disc load with this setup

One of the top 3D flyers in this area flies an N640 with the OS50 Hyper using Rotor Tech 620mm blades. He likes them on it.

If yours is not the hyper then you may be better with 600 to 610mm blades.

It will work but you will have to be careful and use good collective management. I personally wouldn't even run 620's with a 55 but that's just me. If I was to run a 50 Hyper again ide try SAB 570's.60% of the time, it works every time!
