OXY 3 QUBE Build with pictures
OXY 3 QUBE Build

I've been missing my OXY 3 in my fleet for a while now as it used to be my favorite work horse. I just bought an OXY 3 Cube to build and review. Here is my build and the review will follow in RCHP magazine.

Enjoy

So the maiden flight is behind me and all I can say is Wow! This is everything the original OXY 3 was and More! Tail authority held perfect even in the sub par 25mph+ winds and the cyclic response was Insane. The reason I decided on 4S was two reasons, one I have never tried 4S on my other two OXYs and two, I can swap in 3S packs between 4S packs on the same setup. I am running 3000, 3500 & 4000 on the 4S setup and from what I could hear and feel on 3S at 100% coming out of the Castle I was getting around 3000rpm. 3000 is a perfect low head speed 4min flight and 4000 has insane loads of power. I found myself right in the middle flying most the flights at 3500 though. I was able to get in 5 flights in total dodging the high winds and flurries. I am so glad I got an OXY 3 again. Hats off to Luca and the OXY Team. Can't wait to see what's in store next for you guys.

Below are my first initial VControl NEO settings if anyone is interested. The stock 450 wizard numbers were just about spot on and I only had to lower the head gains from 50 to 25 to compensate for the extra blade lift the QUBE head puts out. Even in the high winds I was smacking her around doing piro flips on the maiden! I managed to prop my phone up with two batteries just to hold it in place for the maiden video. I will get video in the coming weeks next time I'm out at the field with a buddy to get a better video for you guys!

OXY 3 QUBE VControl settings
Expo 10, 5, 5
Style 100, 100, 100
Agility 90, 100, 100
Gain 25, 25, 25 down from 50

Tail gains
55,55,55 from 60

This machine is so fun to fly. The QUBE head makes this little beast so responsive and the colors pop so well in low light winter flying.
