BEASTX with JETI radio. cyclic input moves tail servo slightly :(
I have setup Jeti SD-16 with Jeti central box and 4ch receiver with original BeastX . cyclic inputs are working as expected. Tail and gyro is functional and directions are good. Problem is slight back and forth movement in tail servo when I input cyclic on either left or right stick.

I checked all mixes etc but they are all set to 0. Is there anything I need to check in Beastx ?

I do not have a BeastX, nor have I ever used one.

However, most gyros have a setting for collective pitch to tail rotor precompensation.

At 0 degree, the collective precomp is 0, but as the collective pitch is raised or lower, the gyro will add left or right tail rotor.
This give the gyro a "head start" to compensate for increasing torque.

Usually, to test it, you settle into a hover, then punch out with max collective.
If the nose clocks to the left or right and then holds that direction for the climb, you need more or less collective to tail rotor precomp

What you describe sounds like it.

I do remember a guy at the field that had a BeastX and I think he said he needed a USB cable to get to that setting. But, I don't know if he ever found it.

you said 4 ch rx?

are ya running the BeastX in its correspondent serial Bus mode?
otherwise you r not commanding gyro gain or collective as it should

do you have one lead sending all the servos signals from the Rx to the BX?

if I had a nickel for every...

thanks guys
Heli is not ready for flight yet. Being a scale and lot of dough on the line, i am setting up everything on the ground first .

It very well could be some precompensation setting, but i am new to this.
No, beastx is not getting just one cable. Jeti radio come wigh something called a control box, which allows you to run 16 channels just by using a 4 channel receiver. It is an awesome setup. I doubt the issue has anyghing to do with since so many people use the radio.

Is there any setting in beastx which i need to look into which creates some sort of mix ?

I am not at all familiar with the BeastX, but I suggest maybe posting your query in the Scale forum as I know there are several there that do use the BeastX and are familiar with them.

Hope you get it figured out.

Did you go through the RX Setup menu in the BeastX? Where you hold the setup button on the FBL before powering up?

Also, what firmware version on you on?

Hi
Sorry for late reply. I went in to MENU F and disabled the tail compensation as suggested by Pete on another thread.
This is v1 and is quite old but seems like working ok
