Does anyone know the diameter of the motor shaft?

Thanks in advance.

The Forza 450 motor has a stepped shaft. It is 4mm where the pinion lower bearing rides. It then steps down to 3mm where the owe-way and upper pinion bearings ride.Paul

Thanks Paul.
I was looking to convert a standard 450 to a 6s powered machine.
I hope to be able to find a suitable motor, perhaps an Xnova model.

Anyone else using anything other than a JR motor for the 450 or 450EX?

Thanks,
Chris

The 2520 comes with a 3.5mm shaft, no problem with the pinion???

Both of them you replace the shaft with the one made to run the Forza gear. I don't have the part number handy but it has been mentioned many times here so I am sure a search can find it

Edit: Looked it up...on the 2221 it is JR Part Number JRH70753

Also one other thing, to make life simpler (because it has been 2 years since I built it and had to look it up), they didn't have at the time, the HKII-2221-1630 which would use the same shaft as the Scorpion HKII-2221-8.

(-8 3S, 1630 6S)
