Fwiw...

I think flying in a reckless manor would be preferred.
Indoors they couldn't hurt as many people.

😁

People need to be held responsible if they decide to fly these things in a reckless manor.
And when that drone that crashes through your windshield has no registration on it?

I guess the driver should not have been driving on or near the local airport because thats where the "People need to be held responsible if they decide to fly these things in a reckless manor." fly.

I'm pretty sure that everyone who spends a few hundred dollars on a drone will registered it cause it's a cheap and simple process and it will prevent a big fine or even getting the darn thing confiscated. All that will mean that if one of these things does fall on your head there will be a good chance someone will be held responsible for it.

If you wanna fly over peoples houses you better be darn sure nothing will fail otherwise it's your as* Lmao....

Someone who wants to push limits isn't going to register. They'll either be to ignorant or defiant. And if they do have the sense to register, they'll also have the sense to remove the number from their model before doing illegal things.

This assumption that this law will bring accountability is like assuming a bank robber will have license plates on his getaway car.

Why do ppl assume laws can't be broken?

The "Number" as in the one the AMA gives us to put on our planes, heli's. As one who see's and repairs many of my customer's rc of choice I've seen 2 with what the AMA requires us to have to make our insurance valid. And now you really think anyone will place this new number on their aircraft, I have swamp land.
Whether you like it or not we've just been handed a choice. Yet it seems the "Argue" is all people wish to continue. Seems no one got out and put real heat under their legislators. Hindsight is still 20/20 and arguing now is a waste of energy. Yet the self proclaimed lawyers wish to prove "They were Right" to people that just wish to fly. I'll bet those who squeak the loudest on here won't proclaim whether they are or are not going to register.
As for me I'm thinking of not. Registration does nothing for responsibility due to one can forget/refuse to place a number on their aircraft. And for those who wish to fly in all the wrong places, well laws don't stop criminals from getting guns.
Just think, the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Maybe it's time for a bad flyer to be stopped by a good flyer?

lol guys AMA magazine this month one Heli picture page 107 talk about Heli pilots disappearing only quads and planes Why do they send this to me I register as a Heli pilot I have to be honest i throw every magazine in the garbage after a few minutes that's how bad it is ,my point is the ALL new flyers will fly quads (most likely) so registration is the only way ... NOW ABOUT AMA employees are giggling every time somebody talks about what they're doing for you it's an insurance company operating without paying out!!!!! Best crooks around think about it getting money scaring people into insurance They got me because when I went to funflys the local club required it but those days are over funflys won't exist because not enough interest anymore I will fly local and private property I did have fun for the 7 year Heli burst but light is dim nowadays I would tell you guys to not pay for AMA make those guys get a real job you could donate money to way better things people that need it not hobbiest who are making a living on talking about rc in a magazine.. your money paid for AMA site so please don't mention any property or care that might be needed because you all have just bought that for them over time perfect crime.

maybe we all should stop by Droneflyers and thank them.lol RIGHT. I think only drones that can fly by gps and way points needs the rules. FAA needs to back of the good guys, Maybe the AMA needs to point that out. The other day I was talking on the phone to a blade dealer. He said a 350 qx could make it up to 1000 ft. But would not have the battery power to make it back safly, So why one any one want to lose one.. Its just the nuts who are doing this. Go after the, and Let us good guy, have fun with no FAA. we have AMA they have your info.

I think our name and info, needs to stay prv.
FAA need to hunt down the bads guys not us

ps you all have fun. I'm going flying

Gee I'm rather disappointed. The FAA promised me million's of "drones" flying around on Christmas Day. Been outside a number of times today and not a one.
