A friend just sold me a Heliboy in very good condition, it just needs gone through to have all the bearings cleaned and regreased. It even has the original throttle/collective and collective/tail rotor compensation levers still in place, so it's as original (series 80) as it gets. The only thing not with it is the canopy.

If anyone has an original Heliboy canopy they would be willing to sell, or knows of one that someone else has for sale, I'd really be grateful to know of it. I have a friend that has a Helistar canopy that I can probably get but it would be nice to have the original canopy for it. I'd really like to have it painted up like the Heliboy I had around 1980.

Thanks,
Allen Dye

It would be nice if I could understand anything from that site. I appreciate the effort though.

Martin will take care of you. He's a great person to deal with! He does an excellent job with the canopies, they're a bit thicker than the originals too!

The lot I got is not a lot, but I thank God a lot for the lot I got!

Randall Smith, "badgerfarm", also makes canopies for Schluters, including the Heliboy, I've bought several from him and am very pleased.

He's on this site or you can e-mail him at badgerfarm2@gmail.com.

I still have my original Heliboy from 1982! Good luck!

From a post back in August Badgerfarm has stopped making canopies due to health issues and has sold all his heliboy canopies. I have a friend that still has quite a bit of Schluter stuff, including some canopies still in the box. I've been busy building a sewing room in the basement for my wife, that's done as of yesterday so next week I'm going to see my friend and check out his stock.

If that doesn't work out, then I'll try going through helioldies. He apparently only takes paypal and I don't have a paypal account and have never used paypal to order from an individual, so I'll have to get that figured out.

Thanks for remembering me Tom and the kind words. I'm still alive and hoping to be able to make canopies sometime in the future. I still have several spinal surgeries to go and hoping for a good outcome from them. There will be at least a years recovery time for each surgery but if it helps I'm all in. Martin at helioldie is a great guy to deal with and provides excellent service. It's a good thing he took over the site after his Dad Eberhard passed away.
