2 summers ago i started my heli adventure with a blade 450x then built a align 450l dominator crashed the 450x a couple times then just enjoyed flying the dominator more so shelved 450x
I've caught the heli bug bad this summer so i traded one of my planks for a align 550 dfc
Now that winter is here i want to build a 500 machine i was just going to buy a align 500 dominator but then at a heli fun fly a guy with a logo 480 extreme caught my attention it's almost double the price but if it's worth it I'll buy the logo then. i guess if I'm considering the logo I might as well through the goblin sport in the mix also
I know alot of people are brand loyal and I'll get mixed opinions but is there anything good or bad that makes one stand out better
I'm leaning towards the logo because it looks cool to me and that my 550 dfc has a vbar on it and i like it so the logo combo will have a familiar controler on it
Thanks in advance Ben

Get a Logo 550SX and you can stretch it up to a 690SX (with a few modification) as you progress. B/c eventually you will get there anyways.
You do not need to progress class by class. If you are flying the 450L .. than you are ready for the bigger birds.

I fly all the brands and there is nothing wrong with owning both a Logo and Goblin ... generally 600 Class is a good compromise of performance, size, power but lower initial cost of 700 class.

I fly mostly my 600's .. don't even touch my 700 - 750.

I've just done some crash cost calculations based on UK prices. For the same parts which usually break in a crash the Goblin came out 18% more expensive than the Logo which really surprised me! Ide not even considered a Logo 480 before as I just assumed it would be too expensive to repair, might think about getting one now!

On another note the Logo came out 23% more expensive than the Trex 500!

...the Trex is also around 60% cheaper to buy!

60% of the time, it works every time!

I have had all of the versions of the Trex 500 except the latest version. I have also owned a few Logo 500/550s and a few trex 550 versions. I haven't owned a Logo 480 or Goblin 500, but I have flown them multiple times with top quality components.

Just my opinion.... (without factoring in money), my choices would be 1. LOGO 550SX, 2. TREX 550, 3. Logo 480, 4. Trex 450 dfc, 5. Trex 500 and 6. Goblin 500. Just my opinion but those are my choices in order without a 2nd thought.

Edit: The Goblin just isn't the best heli for me. I find them harder to keep orientation compared to other helis.
