I'm running (win 7 OEM version)I understand the upgrade will install the OEM version of 10, no problem there, but wondering if I should do a clean install, or just the upgrade. I'm really satisfied with 7, so also wondering if 10 is really worth the upgrade.

You spelled 'downgrade' wrong . . . .

If it isn't broken, why try to fix it?

Just went to Windows 10 from 7. No problems with the install still playing around with it.

Have updated 5 computers -- three desktop, two laptop, from Win 7 to Win 10.

No problems, nothing really has changed. Life goes on. Enjoy.

Updated four computers from 8.1 to 10. Only one issue, in that I had to run one program in compatibility mode. Overall, quite pleased versus 8.1.

If you dont mind that privacy has already flown out the window, then go ahead and install Win10.

A few things to be aware of:

You loose a very simple but effective Media Centre when you go to Windows 10, but apart from that I have no other complaints on the upgrade..

If you use old/odd hardware with old odd drivers you may want to be careful, otherwise it is great. If you get stuck the rollback process also works well, I've had to run it a few times for various reasons and there was no issue,

My Dell laptop locked and crashed would not roll back, had to remove the drive,re-format and re-install 7,probably due to a corrupt download rather than anything else.My desktop swap went flawlessly.

Same with my wife's pc.
I installed it i her Dell and went fine but apparently W10 did an update or something few days afterwards and it crashed same as above.
She cannot do the techie stuff and I wasn't around so she wasn't happy she had to go through on the phone with Dell's tech support to get W7 back

My laptop keeps bugging me to upgrade. Super annoying. There is no "feck off" button. Is there some way to turn that nonsence off?

because 10 is a MUCH smoother operating system !!!!

cleaning first would be better I would think, but I upgrading from 9 (or was it 8, don't remember) to 10 and it works fine, ^as said 10 is smoother

do it to it and ged-er done

win 10 is buggy, there is a reason it was free.

It snot finished or polished to be as trouble free as the last systems.

Works most of the time, but it has some buggy issues.

Minimize a video and that page freezes until refreshed.

One rig it let SLI enable. The other no way.

Often IE page freezes
