Can you imagine the aftermath of Climate woe? If you visit these places you will know them they are basically under the sea so all needed is some good rain.

I was waiting on some honey but there aren't no Queen bee,

When I was a child in Minnesota the snow was over my head high for years. Now it's seldom that high 60 years later. Must be proof of something.

That's what climate does, it changes. The Ice Age is not just a movie, it actually happened.

I believe the climate is changing, but I think government is powerless to stop it and would only add to our pain. We'd face financial ruin while other countries continue to pollute, so we'd pay the penalty financially and still not ward off the change.

Basically, I think everyone knows that, and some are just trying to make a buck off of it.

Sort of like the old priest class would demand sacrifices and virgins when the local volcano started to rumble. They were powerless to stop it, but they would say, oh well, if I can get a few kickbacks, why not? Al Gore and his ilk.

That said, I'm of the belief that if you have to convince me there's a problem, there isn't a problem.

It's like someone telling me I need an engine rebuild because they hear a knock that I can't. I try to hear it, but can't. So he brings some scientist to show me on an oscilloscope that there's a knock. Ok. Maybe? But I really don't hear it, and it seems to run fine. So they say, no dude, you need a rebuild now. Five grand ought to cover it.

Oh and BTW, the guy telling you he hears a noise will profit from the rebuild.

Should I blow five grand?

Tell ya what. If and when it starts running poorly, it will be very noticeable, and I'll rebuild. Until then, like I said, if you have to convince me there's a problem, there isn't a problem.

Just like the government saying we need to fork over billions to avoid a depression. And we do. And then they say, "wow phew we sure dodged a bullet there. We were right on the edge of a depression and we solved it."

Wait, what? How do we know what we averted? Don't hurt yourself patting your own back, Mr. President.

It'd be the same with this climate thing. We'd fork over money, they'd say, "wow thanks for that money, we were able to avert some major climate issues. Phew, dodged a bullet there, didn't we? Now if you'll just give up a little more we can avert it longer."

Huh? WHAT? We've been hearing doomsday alerts since the 1970's, none of which come to light, and we're supposed to believe that this time it was the government that stopped it? Again they'll pat themselves on the back for "fixing" the problem that we weren't even sure existed.

Again, if there's a problem, it'll be damned apparent and there won't be political discussions about whether there's a problem. The only political discussions will be what are we going to do about the problem that everyone can easily see.

Until then, expecting us to pay the government, just in case they are right, is pretty unreasonable. Just like the priest class calling for virgins.

Sorry esco a bunch of fictional photoshops doesn't work. A line on a graph after 50+ years of doomsaying isn't a problem. A politician, who lies every third word, telling me it's a problem, isn't convincing.

It's a high priest calling for your virgins.

We cant explain where life came from or how life is created or how single cell organism evolve into sentient beings, yet we think we are smart enough to understand the complex workings of nature and weather and we are able to "control" said nature and weather and "reverse" its course.

Right.

a mere 35-40 years ago when I was in school, we were TOTALLY up in arms about global cooling, the new ice age and depleted O-zone.
The earths climate doesn't flip in that short of a period of time....sorry.
Do I think we should worry about emissions??? Surely. I've still yet to hear ONE single explanation about how taxing people will change climate. One of the biggest lies ever told.

The surgical masks wearing in China fooled me, I was thinking people wear it to prevent getting sick by others.

climate
Did you grow up in a third world educational system? There is no Giant Crocodile in the sky that blesses us with rain.
The climate is cyclical,If you went to school in the United States you will recall the rise of the sea level a few thousand years ago. Was this caused by wastful habits of the indigonus people? Do you recall learning the great lakes were once the domain of the biggest galciers ever on this planet?
my advice if you don't want to go through life looking like a fool Go to your local library and read up.
What you have done is adopt some other persons view on climate,
There were some big words in there that made you feel smart and you just climed on and started preaching your new masters word.
You should be ashamed. I have no respect for your kind.
