Couple simple questions. I wanted to know on the new DX7 if it is possible to have separate rudder gains and DR/expo with each flight mode?

Thanks
Jason

You can set it up for different flight modes for DR and Expo . But gyro gain is locked in for all flight modes. You could try a mix but I think the gyro is locked to all flight modes.

I was hoping I could go from idle1 to idle2 and get a different rudder gain at the same time. The Aurora9 can do this but I decided to go spektrum.

My ancient dx7se can set a rudder gain for norm and a another different gain for F1 and F2. But I would really like to get different rudder gains between F1 and F2 with a single switch.

New DX7? as in the all black one?

The old one could so should the newer one.

Pete,

That link is to the manual for the original dx7, my question was referring to the new black dx7. I looked over the manual for the new dx7 and I couldn't find much info on settings for different flight conditions, its looking like Artimus was correct. I was looking over the manual for the original dx7 and with some creative mixing using aux2 for rudder gain might be possible to achieve what I want.

*Edit

I hadn't looked over the original dx7 manual in a long time, but I was able to achieve a separate rudder gain for each of the three flight modes using the gear channel and prog.mix1. So why do I need a new radio lol?? was thinking of one for Christmas, from the wife.

Giving the new manual a quick glance it can be done. (Page 40)

Just like the DX9, you have to enable the flight modes first in order for it to appear as an option in your gyro screen.

No mixing needed.

Pete -- I was thinking there is no way Spektrum (or any mfr) would take such a weird, giant step backward in the evolution of transmitters.

Thanks for clearing that up.
