Count me in.

Why did I ever sell my flybarred Compass 6hv? Every time I see the celing hooks in my workshop where it used to hang, I regret it.

Yeah the radio companies probably loved "crack" because you'd be wearing out pots and motors. What a stupid phenomenon. I never liked it.

Well
My spelling ass, but sharp fast in puts are gone of center, there's a delay no one can get out.

Be cool if they could

That's the reason I've stuck with beastx as I found it closest to flybarred feel. Turn up pot 2 cyclic feed forward and it's like a flybarred heli off center.

Nothing like a FB heli section request thread to get a discussion on best FBL unit started.

Great idea. All of my helis are flybar except for one I converted and still have not dialed in correctly.

I still fly FB and not considering a change. After reading about FBL units I have come to the conclusion that they are nothing more than an automatic transmission replacing the manual clutch. This in my opinion is nothing more than a convince for the general hobbyist. Maintaining a level hover manually is a thing of the past and now it is done electronically. Relying on technology does not make you a proficient pilot.

Exactly the same thing they said when they put fly bars on
Your assertion is off, you should try one before making a determination and defined opinion...

Yep! People who still have love for flybarred helis now have a section to discuss all things flybar related without ridicule.

I got some flybar news that made my day.

I have been fighting the urge to build my Hirobo Sceadu EX. My problem was, I have switched completely over to vcontrol. I didnt want to have to buy a new transmitter to fly the heli and I didnt
want to convert or change the head to fbl on the heli either.

The other day on vstabi I learned that I would be able to use my
Vcontrol with neo on my flybar Heli. Great news!!

I also learned that I would be able to use the rescue feature also.
Rescue with a flybar heli.

I don't think their is anything wrong with being happy with a flybar heli. If you're happy with your flybar, good chance you're going to hate setting up an fbl gyro.

I think I miss being able to gauge a setup with my eyes. So now after the mechanical setup zeroing things out and setting up cyclic and collective pitch there is a cluster of sliders(and maybe some pots also) of gains and rates and possibly some other odd sliders that all need to be mixed together for the best result.

Sometime down the road I would like to try a larger hirobo flybar heli.. Unless you forever stick with old equipment, you're going to get to setup an fbl gyro sooner or later.

Jan, sounds like you have a very interesting setup.
