Still at it. Getting some wood work done. This winter I would like to have some of the fun mechanical features up and running.

Antenna location question
I'll try asking this question on this form.....

I want to add a satellite antenna for insurance but I'm torn between the tail or nose location....Con sidering the main reciever antennas are horizontal and vertical in a mid location in the main fuse. my gutt is telling me go with the tail on a diagonal. Unless there is something I missed or am overthinking

Sat Placement....
With the new JR DMSS you would be fine without sat... but if your going to add one, I would put in the tail area..
No problem on which way the antennas are pointed like on Spektrum...
If your rx has wires on it, I point one towards the front and the second towards the bottom... I would do the same on a sat, but maybe one towards the top.... but not really that critical on these systems!!!

Thanks stan!!!!

Now on to servo selection for gear and weapons bay doors. I'm looking for the smallest HV's. I may want to hang misses on the weapons bay ones so a decent torque is. Needed there.

Okay well here is where we are at so far
sanded and put down the first coat of primer

Also I decided to hand brush the interior.

resanded the part and will be putting another coat of primer down. But I still need to install the LED holders so I'm wondering if it makes a difference if I do that now and hit them with a coat of primer or keep them black and wait...

Looking good,

Personally, I would install the LED base after primerand sanding. Clean and prime them separately and install before paint. Will give you cleaner edges when complete. Also, you will not have to worry about sanding around a little plastic piece sticking up in the middle of the part you are working.

FYI. The bases I used for my lighting are very small so I left them black

Little late update. got my rear gear parts in assembled and installed. No video yet of them functioning, but they really are looking better IMO.

Now that this is finished, as I'm working on the details from back to front, I can also get back to flying. I have a set on Align 6003G's on her now but i want to try some Rail 606's.

So I have been asked, "Why go with 3d blades?" To be honest I can get them easily. I personally would love to get another set of scale blades but I just want to fly this season. I want to get this thing up in the air on a consistent basis. Where will I finish out as far as final head and blades? Well that will depends on all the usual factors. Again for now it is fly and enjoy what I have built.
