optipower ultraguard charging
I received my ultra guard today. Installed it on my heli and hooked it up to my fbl. The red light started flashing which indicates it is charging. Two hours later the red light is still flashing. Is that normal?

I have to vent!!!!

What the heck kind of response is...
You already got your answer for this exact same question on the other forum.
It is obvious the member asking the question is new. This is how we want to spread the hobby? This is how we invite someone new to the hobby? And we are worried about "quads" and "drones"??? Dang...we should be more worried about the bitter trolls in our hobby. They are more destructive than any "drone" could ever be!!

If you have nothing constructive to add, don't say anything!!! The idea of a forum is to share information. I clicked on this topic because I wanted to learn something about the Ultra Guard...instead I see a response from a member that would rather spew discontent than help. Is it such a sin to have asked the same question on "the other forum"? Really...your life is so consumed with bitterness and hate that your response to a question is the above quote?!?!

There are a lot of members on this and "other forums" that do the same. If you have nothing to add...fart off! Your negativity and pablum is not needed here, or anywhere else for that matter.

So...since I didn't ask the question on the "other forum" I will ask here for my own knowledge (if that's OK with you...all mighty Internet Troll).

Is it normal for the Ultra Guard to take two hours to charge???

The Scorpion BUG is primitive device in comparison to the UG430. You have to remember to turn it on before every flight, manually re-charge it, zero visual indications of any kind, etc.

I'm also curious what the issue was. Do we each need to PM the OP individually or can somebody post the solution?

Why don't you ask HeimD (he must be Butthead). He sounds like a nice guy and apparently saw this question asked on "the other forum." By the way, it must be gospel that everyone that is on this forum is also on "the other forum", right?

They should be if they're actually interested in helis. It's a much more active forum with knowledgeable people and good info. This place is dead in comparison. And, yes, the OP is indeed on both forums since he asked there and then copy/pasted the exact same question here. Looks like he got his answer over there since he's ceased activity beyond his original copycat post in this thread here. I know because I was among the several who answered.

Well then I tip my hat to you HeimD. It's been a treat to read your invaluable posts and information. And you do it in such a positive way.

By the way HeimD, since the OP made the egregious error of posting the same question on both forums, what do you think the penalty should be for doing that?

None. He saw the error of his ways and bailed immediately. No further action required.

Hymen...I'm sorry I mean HiemD...you are nothing but a post generating troll!
It's a much more active forum with knowledgeable people and good info.
I am sure you are not including yourself in the "knowledgeable people" category since you have added nothing of any value to this post!
This place is dead in comparison.
This would be due to sour, post count elevating, worthless comment, no value trolls such as yourself. Please go back to the "other forum" and spread your pap and drivel over there.

Come on folks don't be so hard on Mr. HeimD. He has an infliction and can't help himself.

In HeimD's abstention, I will lay down the law for posting the same question on both forums. From now on, anyone who does so will have to add HeimD to their Buddy List. Everyone agree?

On mine, the red and green light flashes when charging during flight. There is no need to try to get a full charge. It's a back up power so you can land. As long as it's flashing right color , just fly, no worries. I did just the LED attachment so you know when to land. Hope this helps. It a must have for my Logo 600. I had a wire break on main battery just before I flew and I ordered mine right away

Did you order all the accessories or just the external light? How easy is it to move from Heli to Heli or is it something you would leave mounted??*** Real Pilots BEAT the air into submission! ***
