They had to do it overseas . . . the FAA would (various undesirable things)

It's one thing to have a UAV off your wing but . . .

Just to be the devil here ,but if you watch they get pretty close to the wing tips of that plane. The vortex that is coming off of those wings could tear up a mountain side let alone a flimsy fly coming into contact with those vortexes. Just a thought.trex 700fbl cal30,minititan,, trx600fbl,trex250,logo 500,Velocity N2

These have been a round for a while, they flew one across the English channel 6 years ago.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...ht-Channel.html

Its powered with a bunch of hobby turbine's, same thing the jet guys fly in their planes.

I thought the same thing. Also what is the max speed of these jet pack guys in level flight and what is the slowest speed of the airbus? Do their speed ranges really overlap?
As cool as the jetman guys are aerodynamically they look pretty dirty.
Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

Any body can do that - they been around for way over 6 years. Cinch

Be neat to hear the communications of the spotter / chase film bird - and the driver of the airliner between the chase plane and the Jet Men.

Nobody twitch because we can not see em. Lot of birds in close proximity.

Countless hours of planning and endless simulation time from exit of the carry plane to form up - Speeds ect. Then to stay out of the wake or get slurped up into a Turbo Fan bringing the whole mess down.
Right over the top of a Large City Too !

Only in the UAE where they ride those funny horseys.

Now they got to land like a Real Model Jet on pavement : Cinch

They may get better stability if they wore swim flippers. If they try to land on pavement ? Maybe steel toed boots and a hockey puck glued on the helmet chin for a brake !

Let the UAEs Go For It !

I know they can do 200 mph in level flight and in a about 45 degree dive around 300 mph, I do not know the minimum speed, but I think it should be around 160, maybe even lower.P.S. sorry for the spelling or the grammar I am dyslexic!

As turboomni said That plane has a landing speed of about 160 m.p.h.
so them guys are cooking along at least at probably 185 m.p.h.
or more !!!

I just googled how fast does the jetman fly. 190 mph in a dive and in another post completed a run with 120 mph average. I assume that is level flight.Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

OK that is what I was silently thinking to myself. If all they can do is 120 in level flight I don't think the jumbo can slow down that much even with the flaps and slats deployed with out stalling.trex 700fbl cal30,minititan,, trx600fbl,trex250,logo 500,Velocity N2

An A320 has a stall speed of 82Kn dirty-minimum weight and 179Kn clean max weight.

A rough rule of thumb for approach speed is 1.3 times stall.

http://www.satavirtual.org/fleet/A320LIMITATIONS.PDF

Note,
When Jet Man first started out, he only had one turbine on each wing. It was soon upgraded to two turbines on each wing.

On his Gibraltar crossing, he got into clouds, lost his orientation and went into the drink.
