Need Help with DJI A2 and S800Evo
Hey guys, I'm looking to try to put everything on one remote if possible. I have an A2 system, iOSD , RC Timer 3 axis Gimbal, Alexmos 3 axis controler. My question is can I control the 800 and the gimbal with my Futaba 10J or is there a mod to be able to do that? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I can only wish you luck. I did a multi manufacturer build on a S800 a couple years ago, and I can only tell you it was really a nightmare. You will likely have to make special wiring harnesses to power things, and we ultimately had to run two 9 channel receivers and a wireless buddy box to get everything working properly.

DJI gets really cumbersome if it is not run with other DJI products.

Actually, I built two, a S800 and a S1000. Both used DJI A2 and the Zenmuse Z15 gimbal; the S800 used a RC Logger video transmission system with a Panasonic FPV camera as well as the main Sony HD camera, and the S1000 used the Lightbridge video.

The problems with the S800 was that the RC Logger and the Spektrum both transmitted on 2.4 which let to a not very good FPV video, plus it was all different voltage requirements, so special wiring harnesses had to be made. Also, the A2 using satellites would not output the gimbal info to the Z15, so I had to use a wired buddy box system so that we could transmit controls to the Z15.

The S1000 also has the same issues with the lightbridge and the A2, as we had to run a second transmitter to get the Z15 controls, as the Spektrum had the same issues as with the S800.

We ended up using a Taranis TX to run everything on the S1000. The video feed was much better than on the S800.

We are getting ready to go to dinner, but I will include some pix of the S800 and a video of the S1000 when I get back.

Cool, let me know what TX you used, and really your whole setup. I'm just doing airial photography, no fpv stuff, but the lightbridge is so damn expensive, I would rather go another route.
