Has anyone heard about the AR7200BX being replaced with a new unit that has SAFE technology? Got a 7300 at a blowout price at the hobby shop and noticed neither the 7200 nor the 7300 are available on Horizon any longer.

Any info would be appreciated.

I worry about Horizon frankly. Been waiting five months for my 7 channel AS3X receiver that was due back in June.

The AR7210BX is supposed to be available 10/22. While it will be SAFE compatible, that feature is an extra cost option that will require downloading and installing on the AR7210BX. I do have one on order and will try to give a prompt review/feedback upon its arrival.

I've had the new 7 and 9 channel on backorder for 16 months, good luck. Bobby

This is exactly what I am worried about. These things are so far beyond overdue it's silly. It means either it doesn't work all, they can't get it to work right, or it's all gone back to square one R&D. And now they are saying they are going to do essentially the same thing with the AR7 series of devices. No thnaks, I'll stay with the old style as long as I can.

Don't worry about the AR7210BX. It's just a Microbeast Plus in their case with the same 7 channel DSMX RX just like the AR7200BX was with the original Microbeast. The FBL unit portion is not HH's AS3X technology at all and it even says so on the side of the Spektrum AR units. This is BeastX technology and not some AS3X crap HH/Spektrum threw together in a basement. There were never any design or reliability problems with the AR7200BX. I fly five of them and one is from the very beginning off a Blade 450X when it was new back in 2012. Never had a lick of trouble with any of them. The AR7210BX is the same thing with updated sensors. Without the firmware upgrade, it will pretty much be the same as an AR7200BX. If you want the rescue/bailout features, it will cost you another cool $99 because that's the price for upgrading a Microbeast Plus. Interestingly, the new 270CFX heli that's coming out with this unit will have the rescue firmware already pre-loaded.
