That's one big hole puncher you have there tail whip what's that a 50 Cal ?
Yes its an Armalite Ar-50. It's not mine, It's my wife's grandfathers.
We were on a hunting trip, walked into a gun shop ,he saw it and had to have it. But at over $5.00 a shot we don't shoot it very much. It's a rush shooting it for the first time. But in reality it doesn't recoil much more than a .243 rifle because of the huge muzzle break. But it is Very Powerful and have to be very weary of where you shoot.
Most of my shooting is my ar-15 or .22s.

+1 on the 50 cal. Reach out and touch someone......
As far as the old cars go I really like the Galaxy 500 , I would leave it as is and run it as a Rat. But the owner wants to race it. Right now I have a 68 Cuda noche back ready for paint and a 65 Malibu that has had every piece of metal from the firewall to tail lights replaced and is ready for the paint shop.
My first 3 cars when I was 16 were 57 Chevy Bel-Aire hardtop's.
You know what they say......if its got tires, ****, or rotors.....its gonna cost you money.

Seems to be a propensity for us RC heli types to also enjoy motorcycles and guns.

YA Motorcycles. I raced for years. Also shot guns in competition, rifle, handguns and shotguns. Also did bicycle riding and was a pattern flyer for several years. Raced cars way back. Stock cars and drag cars. I still do all of those things but at a much lighter level. 67yr. old and still having fun every day.

Tail whip
At 6$a shot I d be making maybe two shots a month just to make sure the scope is sighted enough to hit the broad side of a engine block think that be the extent of my shooting. Looks great which is lighter the armalite or Barret ? Yea we reload our 7.62short n 54 ,22s n my 10mm 45 n 12g are cheap enough we buy.
I'm half tempted to make a 3/5 barrel 20mm rotating for rubber n or beanbag as a project

I never held a Barret but I bet it would be nice. Especially an autoloader. I used to do a lot of reloading, .223,22-250,.243,.260,7mm-08,.308,30-30,30-06,7mm Mag. 380,38sp,357Mag,40,44Mag, hand canon 454casull,Also loaded my own slugs when we couldn't use rifle in our area. and then some I can't remember. And on the Gun motorcycle thing- My inlaws own a Motorcycle repair and Gun shop.

Interesting. Those are the two things I would never own.
I see you are a mortician, so I suppose you see some of the grisly results of both.
But I need to enjoy life by doing the things I really enjoy, and I understand the risk. Been riding motorcycles for over 40 years and have had only three very minor drops. By applying extra awareness of every thing around me and always counting on the cars around me to do something stupid I have avoided ending up on your table.
Anyway, some people do MC, and some won't.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

used to shoot a Barret 50 semi auto as one part of my previous job... one day I put over 100 rounds down range during training prior to deployment...developed a mild concussion from the muzzle blast... lugging that thing around in 120 heat on foot was no fun. now I just go to grad school and do machining on the side for fun (22cc gasser crank in pic) on my small machining equip.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

On the motorcycle thing I owned a 1200cc Suzuki Bandit and I have never felt more alive as when I was on it going ....let's just say over the speed limit. My senses became very acute and all of me was very aware of what was happening to me at the time. Must have been the adrenaline in my veins.
