Using ec5 but they are a pain to pull off from balance board.
I really have to pull hard from pack leads to pull apart.
Would it be safe to use (and easier) xt90?
Scorpion 910kv rated at 65a continuous.
6s 4000mah 45c discharge, not going 12s
Or should I keep ec5 and use dielectric grease?

Any experience with both connectors?

Your KV has no relation to the connectors used. What is important is your amp draw. XT90 are rated for 90a continuous, they would be fine with that setup. Personally I found them to be one of the hardest connectors to get together and apart, much harder than ec5.

I've always found EC5's ok for unplugging but some can be a bit air tight causing a vacuum when trying to unplug. Try scoring down the length of the male plastic connector with a knife to allow air in/out.

60% of the time, it works every time!

XT connectors are easier to solder than some EC5's, but you'll gain little in terms of ease of plugging. All my EC5's are pretty easy to separate. The only time I have seen issues is when guys bugger up the soldering job so the bullet can't float within the housing and self center.

I will keep the ec5.
I have the balance board already and seems that ec5 are easier to work on.

Thanks
