What is with Helidirect. Ever since they have upgraded their web server platform to Magento the site is slow and unresponsive. I have been trying to place an order off and on for the last five hours with no luck.

I have used Magento for years now and if any of the sites I built and still maintain performed like HD's I'd be in the unemployment line.

p.s. To the owner of HD. Please hire someone that has Magento expertise already.....

have you seen Heli-Worlds site?

they dont even stock replacement parts if you click the link... they got their heads so far up their rears id be surprised if they cant see their tonsils. they have one of the worst sites to navigate for parts...my gold fish could do a better job of setting that site up.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

I realize I am a crying baby but no wonder why this hobby is having such a hard time.

The 'pro' pilots are too good to go on the forums and answer questions. They will if they are getting bashed. There are only a few major forums. Cmon guys you cant muster up the energy to respond to your fan base....

The top sites cant even stay up consistantly.

People constantly bash each other over their heli preferences.

Good thing helis are so fun that they keep me coming back even though IMO the community is a mess.

Mark why is it my threads always seem to get moved? Is Karma great? I am a great believer in Karma and the dismal amount of traffic on this site proves that Karma is in play here....

I made the mistake of ordering from HD on Monday and of course they screwed up my order. My tracking number was voided for some mysterious reason by HD. Why would they void my shipment? I order all the time online and any companies that are in New England I always receive the shipment the next day. It has been two days now and I do not even have a tracking number.

It's obvious that you single out members here Mark. Anyone can look at the Main Discussion list and see that most topics don't belong there.

Example:

gaui x7 formula

"looking for a scale heli would like to trade my x7 lightly flown no 3d thats why i want a nice scaler i do the wild with terex 550dfc"

I can go on and on. It's too bad. You have or had a great place where people could chat about helis. Instead it's a place where people bash each other all day and you as a moderator single people out on a whim(or let me guess someone complained about my thread....). I don't think I have ever gotten a hello or thank you from you in any pm or thread even though it's we users that pay your bills. It's sad that a hobby I enjoy doesn't have the proper representation and it's finally showing. Go karma.....

I don't experience the same problem with their site as you describe.... Just this morning I got an email from them which I get periodically with "specials" and such. Upon going to the site to check things out, the site is just as fast as can be.... maybe it's your system or internet provider causing you the grief ??

Oh, and speaking of grief, while I don't necessarily agree with Mark on some of the things he does, it is his site to run as he pleases.... nobody is forcing me to visit this forum. I can go someplace else if I wish......you have the same choice.....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....
