I understand the purpose of the swash plate driver is to "drive" the inner swash plate to keep it phased with the rotorhead..I get this..my question however is this...Is the driver itself supposed to freely move with the mast (on a rotational basis, not up or down) or be locked down to the mast? Reason I'm asking is my heli (I purchased used) has GMP mechanics but looks to have Schulter blade grips (it is a flybarless) and the driver is not locked to the mast so it can freely spin, with or without the mast moving..seems kind of pointless if if can move..won't the phasing be out?
