Think of it as a gift. Now you have a box to ship those 700 size blades in that you have been wanting to sell.

Here is another example of some great shipping practices, and its costing YOU money! Large box with a new radio shipped VIA UPS, filled with (free,to them) empty USPS boxes to take up space. There were 6 of them, plus an envelope! What a waste. What happened to peanuts? Bubble wrap? To expensive, so this large company in all reality steals from the US gov.

please explain exactly how it cost YOU more money considering everything that was involved to get that package to you...

What alot here are forgetting is the absolute complex infrastructure involved to get a package from point A to point B....all with tracking and a few days. Your "expensive" box went thru no less than a dozen peoples hands, was used to pay for fuel, maintenance of vehicles used for transport, paychecks of those that put up with peoples crap day in and day out (like tards trying to ship gasoline, firecrackers, stolen items, grandmas dead cat...you name it.). And the place that sold and shipped it? what about their operating expenses? If you were a business owner would you not try to maximize your profits? They gotta eat too, all so that you can have your precious toy sent to you right to your door step.

Would you prefer to have it shipped on the back of a bicycle in a sack...and maybe wait weeks or months before it gets to you...if it ever does? ever been to a third world country and needed something sent to you?

if your upset about shipping and the waste of packing material...drive your butt across the country and go pick it up yourself from the place that sold it so you dont have to soak over such horrid packing and shipping practices and they dont have to waste them...

The way I see it I would have saved those USPS boxes for shipping stuff out...they saved me the trip to the post office to pick them up too boot....for crying out loud you dont even have to leave your house to ship stuff back out anymore.

yes it is and it takes up valuable shop space...especially when people cry that they want free shipping.
l reality steals from the US gov
who do you think the US are stealing from....

Not upset with you...just wish some of you all would dig deeper and see how lazy and privileged we have gotten, how we have forgot all of those that make things work for us so that we dont have to work so hard to get toys, get to work, buy food etc...this is why we cant afford to make anything in this country..this is why we get upset, but still want a $500 RC tx which is made overseas...cause we dont want to pay more for US products...

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Wow, going "Postal"?

What I see is a waste of money. How much time did that employee waste putting all that together? Even in ThirdWorldCounrties (where we get our stuff) they know to just crumple up yesterdays newspaper.
And use the right box, less shipping costs.

This rant is useless if you had read my post correctly.

You have no idea. I save as many boxes as I can, you should see my basement. But at a certain point you can only keep so much around, so they are recycled.
yes it is and it takes up valuable shop space...especially when people cry that they want free shipping.
And these boxes don't? Yet I should save them all and use up my valuable space?
who do you think the US are stealing from....
You and I, if you pay taxes. That was the whole point of my post, and that is how THIS companies shipping practices cost YOU money. Thank you taxpayers for getting my new radio to me safely

Sorry if I got a little defensive. These little things drive me nuts

FWIW.....

The USPS receives 0 (zero) tax money. The ONLY government entity that operates on it's own resources.
The reason for junk mail is money to operate with.

I try to avoid M-C unless I need a large quantity of something because its shipping/handling charge is quite high. You do pay for the secure shipping even if it's unwarranted.

Joe Smoe doing the packing don't care? maybe he's tired or lazy ? maybe some one forgot to order supplies .
He has a job to do like it or not and has to use what's available.

I see the same situations in almost every type of workplace

The employees are turning into Zombies
just look around at the people while travelling to work
day in day out, non stop,

spending time, paying attention

Yes, and manufacturers and shipping companies find ways to replace people with machines for this reason alone. I see a future with a need for 1/100th the number of workers we have in most industries today. Just because corporations have big buildings doesn't always mean they employ many people. Factories are like ghost towns nowadays. All the people are gone. Just some machines whirling away making money for its master.

The reason why the blue was folded was probably it was folded and put in a zip lock bag by the manufacturer. In other words, Joe Packer sees the blue already in a bag hanging on a peg on the wall for him to grab.

The yellow was hanging on the wall all straight.

I have also ordered a piece of something and it came in a 6 foot long tube at my expense - like a piece of 3/8" dia. delrin - even though I told them they could cut it into 1 foot lengths. Of course, it get to the packer as 6 feet.

On the other hand, if you order a few taps or dies or such, the postage is about $4. I live nearby and I get next day delivery - much cheaper than driving down there.
