If you follow the letter of the law...killing domestic terrorists is pretty much illegal. They are "exercising" their religious beliefs by killing those that do not believe as they do...
You could say that.

That is, you could say that if you feel murder is legal to preserve your religious freedom.

Do you?

OPh crap, can you post a link to this ?
I watched it live... and a little slack jawed. I believe it was an inter view on FOX.
I also saw Lurch on TV today talking about how he and Obama were discussing how many Syrians we could take in.
Get ready fellas, we're going to bring in 100's of thousands and they'll all immediately go esco on us looking for free chit. Then demand we adhere to their Brokeback religion.
We are being over run on all sides and it's our own government that's allowing it (no check that, MAKING it happen.
We seriously have to start considering a revolt nationwide.

You know very well that the only ones doing that today is Islam.

Yes, our history is full of atrocities. But, most have grown out of that. Now we just perform atrocities upon ourselves.

But, yet Christians are demonized for doing so even though their 1st amendments rights have been directly violated.
Their rights are trumped under religious freedom, you cannot break the law and claim religious freedom, when she was factually denying others of the same thing.

Religious freedom cuts both ways, it also protects those against religious zealots like this lady who refuses to follow the law.

What she did was legally wrong. Morally I could care less how some view it. My focus is solely in legal terms.
SCOTUS
Isnt it about freedom for and from religion?

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Six couples, including four gay couples and two straight couples, have sued a county clerk in Kentucky for refusing to issue marriage licenses after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned bans on same-sex marriage nationwide.

That's fine and there are a lot that see it the same as you.

But, you are doing the same as SCOTUS did and totally ignoring the 1st amendment for the first time in our history.

Once again for those that cannot read or ignore the law of our own constitution:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This is what SCOTUS did in not accommodating the 1st amendment in their decision.

They did not have to accommodate the people. But, they should have accommodated the law in the constitution. That's the same law you are talking about.

For the fisrt time in our history our own SCOTUS directly created law directly against our own constitution. Read it again.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

Liberty once lost, is lost forever.

I think your taking the law out of context.

No one took her rights away.

She is allowed to freely exercise her rights within her county and state laws.

She is able to worship how she wants.

She is not however allowed to use those rights to oppress others.

She took the job knowing she cannot legally do as she wishes under a veil of religious freedom.

According to you muslims should be able top stop women from driving, it is perverting SCOTUS to read it that way.

Unless I'm missing something here which is possible

Dennis can you break the law using religious freedom as an excuse?

Then why let this ignorant troll oppress others?

She was elected to that position before SCOTUS made their decision.
She is not however allowed to use those rights to oppress others.
But, the gay couple was allowed to travel well out of their way to violate her rights.

As far as the "ignorant troll" oppressing someone else's rights, why did not that gay couple go to another county to get their license? Who was violating who?

shiny objects boys.
While we carp about this, the spineless pu$$ies we used to call Republicans are going to let this Iran deal go thru.
A lot of BS has transpired in DC today.
Only good news I heard today is that a head of steam was building on removing Boehner. God I hate that jerkoff. Him and McConnell both.

dennis, again, for someone who claims to be so omniscient at the core you really don't understand how the constitution works, or you do and you hope that the rest of us don't.

we have a tricameral system of government. the function of the federal courts is to interpret the constitution. The literal words of the amendments are meaningless until they are filtered through the courts. don't you ever get tired running to nowhere?
