I have a Futaba 14MZ aircraft tranmitter and am trying to use it for heli as well. I am trying to get it to work with an Align 450 flybarless and can't get it to work. Has anyone gotten this to work? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Mine works properly with both the CGY750 and V Bar systems. I don't see why it wouldn't work with any system. All of the systems I am familiar with require you to set the transmitter to the most basic helicopter setting (H1 on the 14MZ). Do not set the transmitter to 120 degree CCPM or any other type mixing. The flybarless system then does the mixing of the transmitter output to properly control the helicopter.

The older I get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

There should be no issue with the 14MZ. If problems persist provide me as many details as you can so I can help you.

How is it not working?

Is it a link problem? Is there a green light on the receiver? What RX are you using?

How are you connecting the RX to the FBL unit?

Most of the problems I've seen in the past have to do with applying the correct function map when choosing a receiver type. Go to your transmitter's function page and see if the functions are listed in the order your FBL unit is expecting.

Can you plug a servo directly into your RX and will it function?

I suppose you're using something from this page?--> http://shop.align.com.tw/index.php?...78jt79t9bte9075

Right now I'm grasping at straws.

Thank you for the feedback. I am setting it up for 120 degree CCPM since my Align 450 FBL is 120 degree CCPM. What should I set it to if not 120 CCPM? The servos are working. Its just that I cannot get them to function correctly.

Set the radio to swash plate H1 and that's that. Mixing will be done in the FBL controller itself. Set your controller to 120 degrees and then follow the directions for the rest of the setup. Do not use sub trim in your radio to get the servo horns to 90 degrees or any other type of mixing. Do not use the endpoints in the radio either. Most if not all settings will be done in the controller.
