CY750 with SBE-1 Question
i can't get the Agy or Sgy Gain to compensate in the opposite direction on two helis. What am I doing wrong?

What version of software, and what is Sgy? Do you mean EGy?E820, Raptor G4N, X50F/E, E620, Forza 450, and some planks.

Step 10 of swash setup, pg 11 in the manual. You can reverse the compensation directions there.

If you already did that and it still doesn't work, I have no idea.
E820, Raptor G4N, X50F/E, E620, Forza 450, and some planks.

No. I just back from a work road trip. I'm going to try cycling the Cyclic to from AVCS to Normal and back. It's the same on both my n5cs.

Well it works on one. I could barely see the swashplate compensate in the opposite direction of the helicopter in any aileron roll or elevator pitch movement. I cycled the Wrk Mode into AVCS in the Flight Tuning Map and the swashplate movement is more pronounced.

On my second n5c, it's stuck in Normal mode. I switch it to AVCS after programming and it indicates N on the Aileron and Elevator axis on the home page and Rudder indicates A.

Any ideas?

Under Flight Tuning, is "Wrk.Mode" set for CMT, AVCS, or Normal?

If set for CMT, the transmitter is controlling whether or not you are in AVCS or Normal. The channel(s) that control it depend on what was set for AGn and EGn under the SBUS menu.
E820, Raptor G4N, X50F/E, E620, Forza 450, and some planks.

I do set it to AVCS since I'm done programming; however when I recheck it each time as it displays N on the Home screen, it indicates AVCS on the Flight Tuning Map. Also when I setup the SBus EGn and AGn I set them to INHIBIT. I did this to both of my n5cs. One does work correctly. This second one has me stumped.

So my understanding of your thought process is that you are inhibiting ail and ele SBus gain control, fixing the gyro into AVCS only mode, and then setting gains directly in the 750?

Yes. I am using a JR 12x Tx, Spektrum AR7010 Rx, Futaba SBE-1 with a SG Reactor Regulator. I used a video that is on Ron Lunds' website that is for Spektrum/JR users. When setting up the equipment I did Inhibit those two channels as explained in the vdeo in the SBus Basic MAP. This to allow adjustment thru the 750 unit as you replied. I have two units in two n5cs I'm setting up and one works correctly.

This one troublesome unit has programmed as advertised; however I cannot get it to revert and stay in AVCS. I can't find anything on the JR12x and the SBE-1 with the 750 being adjustable thru the Tx with CMT, so I'm happy to do it thru the 750 unit and AVCS mode.

Any thoughts or help you can render would be appreciated.

You have SBE-1 PWM inputs that should cover the ail and ele gyro gains as long as you can map them to transmitter channels with end point adjustments. Try approaching it that way and using CMT mode and see if the atv's adjust the gains and the gains show as AVCS.

Ok. I'm wondering why it works as described on my other identical cy750 and n5c. It was bought NIB as v1.3. Updated to v1.4 and both had different settings. Would re-updating to v1.4 help or even possible?

I'll try as you suggest and will report back. On the road and can't try it until about 9 days.

Well, I was so tired of messing with the CY750s that I took them both out and installed VBar NEOs as I already had VBar in my electrics and like it so much. I chose CY750s because of the nitro setups. Mikado makes a nitro govenor now and its so simple to set up.

Thanks for the help one and all, but I was tired of monkeying with them.

i have coming from v1.4, the change is very noticeable and v2 is better. the heli flies smoother and has no nose up tendencies in FFF unlike it did on the v1.4 on my 450
